Stephanie is a Licensed Counselling Therapist-Candidate within New Brunswick (LCT-C), and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She received her Master of Arts, focusing on Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University.

For many years before joining Family Plus, Stephanie worked in crisis intervention at a women’s shelter where she supported women and their children who were affected by IPV and housing insecurity. She has worked with adults coming from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, many of whom would be marginalized individuals.

When supporting clients, Stephanie takes a trauma-informed, integrative, and humanistic approach. She will often draw from different modalities such as Motivation Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions, as well as elements of Solution Focused Brief Therapy. She approaches with curiosity and an open mind. She strives to promote safety, to build allyship, to advocate, to validate, and also to support clients in the development and fostering of coping skills that address a variety of mental health concerns. As such, she strives to be collaborative and flexible and to work with each individual to explore and develop treatment plans that would best suit their needs. She is certified in Brainstory. She is currently working on becoming a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and certified in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
