In January 2023, Family Plus will be opening the doors to Kit’s Place, a Child and Youth Advocacy Centre. Kit’s place will be a community-based centre providing culturally competent, multidisciplinary services to sexual assault victims and their families.
Here children and families will receive a client-centred approach to trauma recovery in a child-friendly, safe environment that has been proven to enhance outcomes related to the investigation, treatment, management, and prosecution of child and youth sexual abuse.

Family Plus, working with key partners in the community and social services, are providing the expertise and safe space needed by child victims of sexual assault and their families.
We are asking you to help Family Plus provide a welcoming and supportive environment for the children and their families by making a charitable contribution to Family Plus and Kit’s Place.
Your support will help Kit’s Place:
Furnish and maintain recovery, therapy and interview rooms
Access technology and materials that will ensure secure, effective and efficient operations.
Provide therapeutic toys and resources that will facilitate the child’s healing journey.
Our dream is to provide every child with their own stuffed-toy fox on their first visit to Kit’s Place.
A donation of $250 will help provide the fox and support a therapy session.
