Stephanie is a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) with The College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick. She is also a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Prior to joining Family Plus, Stephanie worked for years in supporting women and their children who were impacted by Intimate Partner Violence and housing insecurity.

Stephanie applies a trauma informed lens (CCTP) while working within an integrative, and humanistic counselling approach. She aims to promote safety within session, and to support individuals in cultivating skills that help to address different mental health concerns. As such, she is collaborative and flexible, allowing for the exploration and development of treatment plans that would best suit an individual’s specific needs. Stephanie provides individual support for adult survivors of sexual violence, offers couples therapy (Gottman Institute), and family therapy (Emotionally Focused Family Therapy).

Stephanie values being a part of a dynamic group Family Plus. “We all have different skills and areas of interest that we bring to the table. Moreover, the work environment supports our individual approaches and promotes flexibility, professional growth, and collaboration. This often leads to finding creative and innovative ideas and solutions. It also lends to the fostering of workplace cohesion. Truly, we are stronger as a team”.
