Brenda Wright

M.ED., LCT, CCC

Brenda is a Licensed Counselling Therapist with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick and a Certified Canadian Counsellor through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a Bachelor of Education (UNBF) and a Master of Education in Adult Education (StFX), as well as a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology (UNBF).

With over 13 years of experience as a therapist and certification as a meditation teacher, Brenda takes an integrative, whole-person approach to her work with adult clients. Her clinical training includes Counselling Survivors of Sexual Violence, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), along with numerous professional development courses across various therapeutic modalities.

Before becoming a therapist, Brenda held a range of positions supporting vulnerable and diverse populations within the non-profit sector, post-secondary institutions, and the Government of New Brunswick.

Brenda provides both individual and group therapy from a feminist perspective, supporting survivors of sexual violence and their families. She also works with clients experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. Brenda is passionate about helping adults cultivate a stronger sense of self-worth and personal value.
