Workplace EAP
In 1975, Family Services launched the first workplace-based Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in Canada. Today the FSEAP network of over 70 Family Service agencies across Canada provides EAP services to over one million employees and their families. Family Plus is one of this network of agencies across Canada and the United States committed to the delivery of quality EAP services. Through this international network, Family Plus/Life Solutions Inc. can support your company's employees regardless of their location.
As a network, FSEAP has been accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), and as such has met the COA quality assurance standards guaranteeing consistency of clinical and customer service, regardless of location. Locally, Family Plus/Life Solutions Inc. provides EAP services to approximately 35 companies, some of which have offices throughout Atlantic Canada, Ontario and Quebec.
Why Should Your
Company Choose an EAP?
You know that human resources are your most valuable assets. In order
for your organization to have a winning edge in today's marketplace, your employees
must perform at their best. Right now, however, up to 20 % of your employees
may have problems that affect their job performance. Left unaddressed, problems
such as marriage or family difficulties, personal or job-related stress, alcohol
or drug abuse, financial problems can result in:
- increased absenteeism;
- reduced productivity;
- low staff morale;
- on-the-job accidents;
- more medical and disability benefit claims; and
- high employee turnover.
Employee Assistance Programs offer employees professional, confidential help before their problems reach a crisis point - before problems affect employees' health, family life or job performance. Having an EAP is cost-effective and it shows employees that their company cares about people. Not only is an EAP a perfect solution, it's also a valuable investment.
