F.I.T. - Families In Transition
This service involves a therapist working intensively in the home with youth, their family and the systems involved, to provide intervention and support. It is offered to families with children 12 - 16 years of age by referral from the Department of Family and Community Services. The therapist is available to the family, in crisis situations, by telephone.
A.S.S.I.S.T. – A Service of Support, Integration and Skill Training
This Program has a highly motivated team of Human Service Counsellors, who
assist and support children and adults living with disabilities or who are having
difficulties developing relationships, making informed choices, or coping with
the daily challenges of life. Human Service Counsellors facilitate community
involvement, teach developmental skills and promote the acquisition of skills
necessary for living a better quality life at home and in the community.
