Making a Difference" is a community initiative headed by a
team of community partners that includes:
The
initiative has three main goals: 1) to create a supportive community
environment, in which we reinforce the message that Dads Make
a Difference; 2) to provide support and resources to dads in their
role as a parent (It’s
My Child Too, Bonding
Through Play, DAD’S
Camps); and 3) to provide mentors to fathers to help
reinforce effective parenting roles.
With
increased awareness of the importance of fathers, it is hoped
that more fathers will play an active role in the lives of their
children.
